Hyack's premier meet of the year is fast approaching - the Hyack Festival Youth Cup. We've made some exciting changes to the meet this year, including excellent cash prizes for the fastest swimmers! As a result, we are attracting the fastest 18&U swimmers in the Lower Mainland, Alberta, Washington and Oregon to our own pool. This will undoubtedly be a very exciting weekend of swimming.

One of our new initiatives this year is efforts toward acquiring business and family sponsors for the meet. We have a sales professional associated with our club pounding the pavement on Hyack's behalf, calling on local businesses to support our meet. We have a complete package of opportunities available, from advertising to donations to donations in kind. If you operate a business and are interested in helping out our meet or obtaining some valuable advertising for your business, please get in touch with Judy Christensen at 604-525-1141 or judy1515@telus.net and she will be very pleased to help you.

We are also asking Hyack families to sponsor individual events in the meet.

Families can sponsor their swimmers favourite or best event! In return for a $50 donation, your families' name will be featured in the meet program.

Just imagine seeing your swimmer on the starting block, and the meet announcer saying "This event sponsored by the ____________family". Your swimmer will be thrilled!

We've set aside just 10 events for Hyack family sponsorship. More events may become available closer to the date of the meet, but as of now, we're letting the first 10 Hyack families have their choice of events. If more than 10 families are interested, a waiting list will be established, and if more events become available, they will be offered to families on the list.
