The Hyack Swim Club of New Westminster won 14 races and 40 medals at the B.C. championships in Saanich last weekend. Roman Bajevs, 13, won two races and stood on the podium seven times. Vanessa Hanbury, 17, won two races, came in second three times and third twice. Lily Kanamori, 11, won three races, came second in another and third in three to qualify for the age group nationals. Also going on to the nationals in Calgary in July will be Daniel Gomez, Stefan Milosevic, Andreas Mock and Adam Godkin.
