HYACK's Age Group Program: Junior Provincial

The Hyack Swim Club has had a successful Age-group program for many, many years. Our swimmers are consistantly amongst  the best in the Province, are ranked Nationally and are the cornerstone of our Senior National group.

Overview: The Junior Provincial is for athletes who have graduated from our Olympic Way Orange and Regional programs and are working towards training competency at the provincial level.

The main focus in this level is improving athlete's ability to swim the four competitive strokes for longer distances as well as advance their fitness level in order for them to progress into the Provincial group.

These swimmers also continue their refining of the competitive starts and turns for each of the four strokes. The concept of training is advanced upon from the concepts taught at the Regional level.

Our objective for the swimmers in this group is to continue the FUN aspect in every practice session started at the grassroots level. We also advance each swimmer's stroke technique, swimming speed, and overall fitness. The performance objective for this level is to advance the swimmer from AA to AAA level.
