HYACK's Age Group Program: Regional 11 & Over

Overview:

Regional is an expansive level of programming for our swimmers. Here, they are exposed to a higher level of training and competition. They will compete around the Lower Mainland and occasionally elsewhere in BC. The swimmers are able to swim the four competitive swim strokes well for medium to longer distances.

The main focus in this level is improving athlete's ability to swim the four competitive strokes for longer distances as well as advance their fitness level. These swimmers also continue their refining of the competitive starts and turns for each of the four strokes. The concept of training is advanced upon from the concepts taught at the development level. Our objective for the swimmers in this group is to continue the FUN aspect in every practice session started at the grassroots level. We also advance each swimmer's stroke technique, swimming speed, and overall fitness.
