Hyack Masters and Tri-Fit brought home the top small team banner for most points by a team with under 14 competitors!
At the end of May, a group of 11 swimmers from our Hyack Masters and Tri-Fit programs traveled to Calgary to compete in the Canadian Masters National Championships.
Was it a good time? Oh, yes. Did they swim well? Superbly so, with close to 80% best times.
Did we conquer the meet? Absolutely!!
Including a provincial record in the 4x100 mixed freestyle relay in the 160-199 age group (Kathryn, Kelly, John and Vance), decimating the previous record by 12 seconds.
And - AND - we brought home the top small team banner for most points by a team with under 14 competitors!
Coach Suzanne is over the moon happy with how great everyone swam and, as importantly, how much the athletes supported each other and helped each other accomplish so much.
After hours beer moments, team dinners, scooter rides, arcade games and ice cream treks made the weekend a success on all levels.
