2026 Bell Canadian Swimming Trials

Shima Taghavi won the Junior category 400-meter individual medley and secured her spot on the  Canadian junior Pan-Pacific team!!
She also won a bronze medal in the Junior category 200-meter butterfly.
Both results set new LCM Provincial Age-group and Hyack Club records!
200 Butterfly - 2:15.17

400 IM - 4:50.47

Andrey Dolgov shaved one whole second off his 200 fly to earn himself an impressive PB

Owen Nicholson placed 11th in the 800 free, 13th in the 1500 free, and 5th in the 400 IM B final

Evan Vellescig placed 5th in the 100 breast B Final 

Jerry Ling swam in his first ever Canadian trials event, placing 33rd in the 200 breast

Shima Taghavi earned herself a junior bronze medal in the 200 fly, a junior gold medal win and 6th place A final finish in the 400 IM, a bronze senior medal and junior gold medal win in the 200 breast, a 7th place A final finish in the 100 breast, a PB in the 50 breast, and provincial records in the 200 fly and 400 IM
