We can set up an assessment swim. The assessment provides us the opportunity to place the swimmer at the appropriate developmental level.
All our group criteria are on the Hyack website under programs for you to read.

Hyack Swim Academy* Program:
You do not need a Hyack assessment to register for an HSA. Everyone must register according to their age and level.
Hyack Swim Academy programs are only run at City Centre Aquatic Complex (CCAC) in Coquitlam.

Hyack Summer Assessment Camps:
Hyack Assessment Camp 2024: New Westminster information - September:
This will be a great opportunity to secure early registration (dependent on group availability) and to experience organized club swimming.
The camps will be ocused on run and introducing swim training concepts while giving basic reviews o the fundamentals ofswimming.
You must register at the camp and after the 3rd week the coaches will tell you which group they recommend.
Please note that you can only sign up for one camp.

You can only come three times, always on the same day and at the
same time - Tuesday or Thursday. If you sign up for Tuesdays, you can't come on Thursdays.
There are 3 diferent sessions according to age, skills and levels. The assessment camp is once a week for 3 weeks on
Tuesdays or Thursdays.
Please note that a basic swimming ability is required, and lessons should have been taken before signing up for an
assessment camp. If the requirements of the assessment camp do not match the athlete's abilities, do not apply.
The camp will be conducted in deep water, so each athlete needs to have a basic afinity to swim unassisted, the instructor
does not go in the water. There will not be a coach in the water with the campers.
Session 1 - (6-7-year-olds) Requirements: Minimum of level 6/7 swimming - passed Swimmer 6.
Session 2 - (8–9-year-old) Requirements: Minimum of level 8 swimming - passed Swimmer 8 / Ranger Patrol.
Session 3 -(9–12-year-olds) Requirements: Minimum of level 9 swimming - passed Swimmer 9 / Star Patrol.
