Hyack Summer Squad Training program
Purpose:
The Summer Squad Training program is designed to help varsity swimmers maintain and enhance their competitive edge during the off-season. With a focus on technical refinement, endurance, strength, and race strategy, this elite training environment prepares athletes for Canadian Trials and summer competition. The goal is to bridge the gap between varsity seasons, ensuring swimmers stay in peak condition, continue their development, and enter their next competition stronger and faster.
For who? Varsity Swimmers or post grad swimmers
* Please note swimmers with other Age Group or Varsity affiliations are not required to be registered as Hyack or SFU. It is open to all Varsity aged or post secondary swimmers looking to enhance their swimming performance through the summer season.
* Space may be limited with priority to those Qualified for Trials
Focus:
- Long Course season
- Trials, Summer nationals and international competition
What we offer:
- High Performance Training (8-9 x per week)
- Access to Long course training
- Access to Strength and Dry land program.
- Stroke & Data Analysis.
Location: New West / SFU Pool
Dates: May 1st to End of July or last meet of the season
Schedule: 3 x LCM sessions + 5-6 SCM session
Training Fees:
- SFU Varsity swimmers - No Charge
- Returning Hyack Swimmers from their Varsity programs - No Charge
- Other Varsity or post secondary swimmers - $200 for the summer
Swimmers will be responsible for Meet Fees (local and travel) as well as Insurance
